Warranty & General Care

Warranty

Our awnings have a 12-month structural warranty which covers manufacturing and material defects. Your warranty does not cover the incorrect use of your awning, wear and tear, adverse weather damage, setting up your awning incorrectly or damage caused by children, animals or mould.

Although it is a freestanding awning, wind gusts can be very unpredictable. We recommend having leg/s pegged and guy ropes always anchored down.

Any damage caused from wind and adverse weather conditions will not be covered under warranty, please do not erect your awning in windy conditions.

Your consumer rights include that we will replace or refund at our discretion for any major structural failures, for any minor issues we will happily try and sort out the best solution to ensure your awning is up to an acceptable quality.

All freight costs related to the warranty returns and redispatch will be at the expense of the purchaser.

For any warranty claim requests please email info@bushwakka.co.nz

General Care

When you open your awning bag please ensure the zipper are right to the top of the bag so that when you fold the bag over it does not cause any stress on the zipper.

Please fold the bag over itself onto the backing plate to ensure that you do not create a pinch point when the arms swing on the hinge.

When you roll up your awning please ensure it is done as tight as possible to minimise movement during travel, incorrect securement of your awning could cause rubbing and holes in your canvas.

As your awnings will be exposed to the elements we recommend you use the following products to best maintain your awning. Lanolin spray on the brackets to help protect from surface rust. A canvas reproofer spray to help enhance the life of your canvas and aid in waterproofing.

Please check over the bolts from time to time as these can loosen during travel.
